Description
This old farmstead sits a few miles down the road from where we live. I appreciated the sun glow on the patina of the old wood, and wanted to capture this special effect on canvas. The ancient fence is one of many in this area, built from limestone rock, more plentiful than trees. This post rock weighs about one hundred pounds per square foot. One would wonder what stalwart strength the old timers had to have exerted in the construction of one of these fences!
