Artist's Description
This old saw mill is one of the few still in operation in the Northwest. We drove past it a few years ago while on a vacation trip. I remember seeing many of these old timers when I was a kid, never once thinking of them becoming relics of the past!
About Lynne Wright
Basically self-taught, sketching and painting have been my lifelong passion. I received a set of oil paints as a gift from my new husband the first Christmas we were married. This is a saw dust burner. Only reason I know is from model railroading. Nice painting!
Lynne Wright replied:
Thanks, Edward, and you're absolutely right. I appreciate your comments!

Such an interesting scene, Lynne. I lived 9 years in Seattle but never saw one of these. F/V
Lynne Wright replied:
Thanks, Inge! These were quite a common sight in southern Oregon when I was a kid.
