Description
This barn is typical of the many old structures in rural Kansas. My Idaho cousin, originally from this area and somewhat homesick, requested a scene of a Kansas barn. Having spotted this charmer, I created an oil painting to send to her. I'm happy to say she was pleased with the memories it brought!

You're right about what must have been the original condition of this barn. Don and I both love to discover these old relics, but are saddened to see them slowly disappearing into the past. Thank you for seeing what I was trying to capture.
